Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Protective Services Intake Specialist V to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. As a key member of our Complaint and Incident Intake Toll-Free Intake Processing Unit, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and quality of our services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Answer calls and respond to complaints, requests for information, and suggestions from the general public, legislative offices, news media, and other agencies and organizations.
  • Perform complex analysis of complaints and incidents to determine priority, allegation type, and handling.
  • Assess intakes for determination of priority, allegation type, and handling.
  • Communicate with internal and external stakeholders to provide, exchange, or verify information, answer inquiries, address issues, or resolve problems or complaints.
  • Maintain current knowledge in assigned area by reviewing literature, attending meetings or seminars, or communicating with other professionals.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge of state and federal regulatory and assistance programs preferred.
  • Skills in working with ACD call systems and computers.
  • Normal Auditory Ability.
  • Advanced ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
  • Professional and knowledgeable attitude and behavior with members of the public and co-workers.
Working Conditions:

This position requires regular and predictable attendance and may involve working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
