Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and disseminate targeted and timely communications to promote activities and accomplishments in the School of Food Science and support the WSU Creamery and Ferdinand's Ice Cream Shoppe Brand.
  • Coordinate and plan events to engage stakeholders and promote the School of Food Science and WSU Creamery.
  • Support social media and website functions to enhance the online presence of the School of Food Science and WSU Creamery.
  • Recruit and engage alumni to support the School of Food Science and WSU Creamery.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in English, communications, journalism, humanities, public relations, or related field; or four years of writing/editing/public relations experience; OR equivalent education/experience.
  • Knowledge of WSU policies and procedures.
  • Experience creating, maintaining, and updating websites (such as WordPress).
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Professional Suite, Adobe Creative Suite, project management software, email ListServ(s), Google Analytics, social media, and other computer programs.
  • Demonstrated understanding/experience of event coordination and planning.
