Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Vessel Engineer to join our team at Campbell Transportation Company, Inc.

The estimated annual salary for this position is $85,000 - $110,000 depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on vessel engines, electric motors, pumps, winches, and other mechanical or electrical equipment.
  • Identify malfunctions or potential problems, clearly report them to the Captain of the vessel.
  • Maintain and repair electrical, air conditioning, heating, ventilation, refrigeration, water, and sewage systems.
  • Start and shut down main engines and generators of the vessel.
  • Operate or maintain on/off-loading liquid pumps or valves.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Possess basic computer skills and ability to communicate with coworkers/supervisors/external customers and/or contractors.
  • Able to lift 60-100 lbs. and traverse up to 30 feet
  • Ascend/Descend a 90-degree ladder up to 40 feet.
  • Work shift a min. of 12 hrs. (could be up to 15)
  • Maintain constant communication with crew members.
