Job DescriptionThe Production Engineer position on our 1st shift team involves providing vital engineering support for existing and new operations. To excel in this role, candidates should possess a four-year degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of two years of relevant work experience.
Key Responsibilities and Expectations- Implement Lean Manufacturing techniques to optimize production workflows and minimize waste.
- Collaborate with the Design Engineering team to develop innovative solutions for increased production efficiency and reduced costs.
- Train production staff on proper equipment operation, software usage, and process execution.
- Identify and address potential design flaws, working closely with Design Engineering to resolve issues.
- Develop and refine process documentation to ensure accuracy and adherence to Link-Belt standards.
- Troubleshoot production problems, promptly resolving issues to minimize downtime and maintenance expenses.
- Partner with Manufacturing to resolve product-related concerns.
- Analyze market trends and economic factors to inform strategic manufacturing decisions.
- Maintain equipment to prevent errors and optimize performance.
- Lead projects as assigned, ensuring timely completion and budget compliance.
- Provide technical insights for cost estimation and reduction initiatives.
- Verify production-related designs through precise engineering calculations.
Salary Range: $85,000 - $120,000 annually, contingent upon experience and location.
