We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Office Nurse (MA/CNA) to join our team at Murfreesboro Medical Clinic. As an Office Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.
Job Summary:The Office Nurse (MA/CNA) will be responsible for providing nursing support for the Gastroenterology department, including performing various clinical tasks, assisting with procedures, and maintaining accurate patient records. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team and contribute to the delivery of exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide nursing support for the Gastroenterology department, including performing clinical tasks, assisting with procedures, and maintaining accurate patient records.
- Assist patients with intake, begin office notes, and enter lab and x-ray orders in the EMR.
- Perform laboratory tests of minimal to moderate complexity, including completion of lab requisitions per computer and paper.
- Enter/Scribe provider's notes in electronic note as assigned.
- Schedule procedures, explaining the procedure and prep to patients as needed.
- Triage calls for providers, determining emergencies, identifying symptoms, and using discretion for work in appointments and refilling routine prescriptions after reviewing medical charts.
- Maintain quality monitoring logs, including refrigerator, lab test, immunizations, lab inventory, and stocking of supplies.
- Contact drug companies as directed for medication samples.
- Administer injections, including subcutaneous, intramuscular, intradermal, and intralesional.
- Complete all required paperwork and maintain accurate patient records.
- Completion of Medical Assistant educational program, CNA program, or LPN License.
- Experience preferred but not required.
- Current CPR certification.
The Office Nurse (MA/CNA) will work in an office setting, interacting with patients, providers, and other staff members. The position requires frequent telephone contact and face-to-face communication, as well as the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple responsibilities.
