We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Curriculum Coordinator to join our team at Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing instructional coaching and support to CTE teachers throughout the district, with a focus on curriculum development and implementation.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement curriculum plans for high school CTE pathways and middle school discovery courses, in collaboration with teachers and other stakeholders.
- Support the embedding of industry certifications and other relevant credentials into CTE programs.
- Provide instructional coaching and support to designated CTE pathway and elective teachers, to help them develop strategies to support student success.
- Identify opportunities for leveraging College and Career Promise to build early college opportunities for students.
- Drive student attainment of industry credentials for assigned pathways.
- Develop and align instructional supports to district strategies and initiatives.
- Coach new teachers and teachers as needed, to implement instructional support and content for strong student outcomes.
- Collaborate with school-level instructional coordinators to build ongoing supports for teachers in your content area.
- Build professional learning communities for pathways/clusters.
- Bachelor's degree and current license in a CTE program area or a current license in Curriculum Instructional Specialist.
- Five years of teaching experience.
- Hold a current continuing CTE License.
- Leadership experience in high school or organization.
- Master's degree.
- Leadership experience in high school or organization, demonstrating project management with cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience as an instructional coach and/or supervising teams.
- Current CTE or curriculum instructional specialist license or instructional technology specialist - computers or telecommunication.
- Current or eligible for CTE 830 curriculum and instructional management coordinator license (including DPI releases/updates during the current year).
