Job Responsibilities and Qualifications

As a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, you will conduct laboratory tests across various specialty departments, including Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Blood Bank, Serology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, and Microbiology. Your work will provide critical data for the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases.

  • Daily responsibilities include performing complex analyses of microscopic, immunologic, biologic, bacteriologic, hematologic, and chemical tests and interpreting their results.
  • You will manage specimen intake and inventory supplies within the department.
  • Instrument troubleshooting and documentation of corrective actions will be part of your duties, along with performing necessary repairs.
  • Ensuring quality control measures are executed and recorded, adhering to departmental protocols for corrective actions.
  • Demonstrating the ability to train new staff and students.
  • Active participation in phlebotomy and accession responsibilities is expected.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Sciences, or a related field.
  • MT registry or eligibility, with successful completion of the MT registry within six months of eligibility or hire.
  • ASCP certification or equivalent is preferred.
