Job Overview

The Technical Project Coordinator plays a pivotal role in collaborating with the PreSales and Sales divisions to kick off technical implementations. Adhering to established methodologies, the Coordinator employs internal systems to formulate, monitor, and refine the defined scope of work and associated tasks. Effective communication is essential, as the Coordinator liaises with clients, internal teams, sales personnel, consultants, and vendors. Projects vary in scale and intricacy, often requiring management of multiple initiatives simultaneously. Regular status updates are expected both internally and externally, with comprehensive project closeout and profitability reports due upon completion.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

  • Develops and implements project work plans, adjusting as necessary to accommodate evolving needs and requirements.
  • Articulates and clarifies complex concepts effectively.
  • Ensures project documentation is thorough, up-to-date, and properly archived.
  • Prepares for engagement evaluations and quality assurance processes.
  • Reviews team deliverables prior to client submission.

Operational Oversight

  • Oversees daily operational aspects of projects and their scopes.
  • Manages personal and team schedules; devises plans for medium to long-term work activities.
  • Identifies necessary resources and delineates individual responsibilities.
  • Effectively applies established methodologies and enforces project standards.
  • Utilizes expertise to concentrate efforts and drive enhancements.

Risk Management

  • Mitigates exposure and risk associated with projects.
  • Foresees potential objections and prepares responses accordingly.
  • Anticipates internal and external business challenges and developments.
  • Recognizes patterns and connections; considers broader implications beyond immediate issues.

Technical Acumen

  • Possesses a foundational understanding of network, server, virtualization, and desktop architecture.
  • Stays informed about emerging technologies and their potential applications in client engagements.

Financial Management

  • Monitors and reports project team hours weekly.
  • Manages project budgets effectively.
  • Communicates with clients regarding change orders as needed.
  • Oversees costs, profitability, and resource utilization for assigned projects.
  • Prepares cost and profitability analyses, comparing actuals to budget.

Client Relations

  • Facilitates daily client interactions throughout project lifecycles.
  • Establishes and manages client expectations.
  • Builds enduring relationships with client personnel to strengthen ties.
  • Continuously seeks opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction and deepen client relationships.
Qualifications
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Bachelor's degree or a comparable combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of five years' experience in project management.
  • Experience across a diverse range of IT project requirements and solutions.
  • Prior experience managing projects for external clients.
  • Ability to navigate complex problem-solving scenarios with political acumen.
  • Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.
