South Peninsula Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and contribute to the delivery of high-quality services in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver age-specific, direct patient care utilizing the Nursing Process and adhering to established standards for nursing practice.
- Assume leadership responsibilities, including delegation of work to other levels of employees, to ensure efficient and effective patient care.
- Coordinate patient care activities with other members of the healthcare team in a collegial relationship.
- Direct and coordinate care given by Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), Nurse Graduate preceptees, and Nursing students.
- Perform all duties in a manner that supports the team concept, collaborative caring, and reflects the philosophy of the Emergency & Outpatient Services Department and the mission of South Peninsula Hospital.
- Graduate of an accredited/approved School of Nursing.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Alaska.
- One year Registered Nurse experience in an Emergency Department setting, with 3 years preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
- TNCC & ENPC and PALS preferred, with completion within one year of hire.
- English Language: Must be able to read, write, and speak English clearly.
- Ability/willingness to be on call, as required.
- Must be able to prioritize multiple tasks and work with a variety of healthcare team members effectively.
