Job Summary

A freestanding emergency room in Tyler, Texas, is seeking a Marketing and Communications Coordinator to join their team. The ideal candidate will provide proficient, competent care while maintaining the patient's sense of comfort and dignity.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Marketing Director in creating and maintaining a patient-centered focus by engaging in a positive working relationship with community members, including physicians, educators, and emergency responders.
  • Maintain inventory of patient and marketing gifts, ordering as needed.
  • Order marketing items and gifts through various vendor channels.
  • Coordinate local events with the Marketing Director, including transporting marketing items and setting up/taking down at various venues.
  • Assist with volunteer sign-up and scheduling volunteers for events.
  • Arrange delivery of marketing items, including store pickup and hospital drop-off.
  • Utilize resources efficiently, including time, scheduling, supply ordering, and staff involvement.
  • Provide support to the Marketing Department, including the VP of Business Development and Marketing Director.
  • Maintain regular, clear, and proactive communication with the Marketing Director.
  • Take lead at events or fill in for the Marketing Director as needed.
  • Work inside the ER occasionally.
  • Create and decorate tablescapes.
  • Maintain event dates and new events.
  • Oversee social media posts.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple projects.
  • Integrity and responsibility, with access to company credit card and petty cash, and company vehicle.
  • Current driver's license with no restrictions.
  • Flexibility to meet departmental scheduling demands.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, impeccable organizational skills, and time management skills.
  • Adaptability to ongoing changes.
  • Ability to read, speak, write, and understand the English language.
  • Strong social media skills with capabilities of learning graphic arts for social media.
  • Ability to be creative for tablescapes, gifts, and baskets, and other marketing decor requirements.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Previous direct marketing experience.
