Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Research Coordinator II to join our team in Tyler, TX. As a key member of our community engagement program, you will support academics and community members in implementing community engagement programs. Your primary focus will be on supporting researchers/community organizations from the Northeast Texas communities and collaborating with a multi-institutional team from universities/communities across Texas.

Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day project management coordination for research projects, including personnel, facilities, and supplies, to support research project desired outcomes, budgets, and timeliness.
  • Assist in the preparation of progress reports and grant proposals to both private foundations and governmental agencies, working closely with the Office of Sponsored Projects on the submission of grants.
  • Assist with the preparation of budgets, initiate re-budgeting requests based on needs of research staff, and authorize expenditures for multiple projects.
  • Prepare annual progress reports and applications for various committees, ensuring that all staff has received the proper training/attended the appropriate training courses.
  • Maintain confidential records of collected data, ensuring accuracy and integrity of data, which may include patient data and departmental programmatic data.
  • Prepare draft reports and communications for the departmental program/division leadership.
  • Interact with representatives from state, federal, and private agencies regarding proposals and funded projects.
  • Provide work administrative direction and guidance to administrative staff personnel within the department.
  • May review contracts and develop training.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).
  • A Bachelor's degree in a related field or relevant experience in lieu of education.
  • Two (2) years of relevant experience, which may be substituted with equivalent years of education beyond the minimum education requirement.
  • Previous experience working with community outreach research is highly preferred.
  • Previous experience working with RedCap is preferred but not required.

Salary

The estimated annual salary for this position is $62,400 - $82,400, based on the location and requirements of the job.

About the Location

Our primary location is Tyler, TX, but we may require you to work at other locations as needed.
