A vital aspect of this mission is to deliver exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders by embodying our core principles.
Role Summary
This position is responsible for executing daily operations within the security domain. It plays a pivotal role in advocating for the credit union's physical security policies and protocols, with the aim of protecting employees, members, assets, information, facilities, and property. Working in close collaboration with the Security Lead, this role ensures that security protocols are consistently evaluated and refined, training for team members is conducted, maintenance of security equipment is performed, and immediate support is provided to staff. Reporting to the Risk Manager, this position collaborates daily with the Security Lead to ensure a strong partnership and effective coordination in security management within the credit union.

- Security Systems Management:
- Ensure the operational integrity of security equipment and address any technical issues.
- Issue access credentials and maintain precise records.
- Promptly respond to access-related inquiries.
- Oversee security equipment by keeping accurate records of hardware, lifespan, and positioning.
- Manage the electronic Security HelpDesk.
- Incident Management:
- Respond to security incidents, including thefts, disturbances, and emergencies.
- Act as the primary contact for after-hours alarm notifications and respond appropriately.
- Adhere to established protocols for managing security breaches and alarms.
- Assist in investigations and prepare incident reports.
- Maintain a log of security incidents and actions taken.
- Security Training and Awareness:
- Develop and implement security training programs for credit union staff and members.
- Foster security awareness and best practices among employees.
- Ensure comprehension and adherence to security-related policies and procedures.
- Recommend enhancements to security measures and oversee their implementation.
- Emergency Preparedness:
- Assist in formulating and maintaining emergency response plans.
- Participate in emergency drills and exercises to evaluate staff readiness.
- Coordinate with local authorities and emergency responders as needed.

Education
A High School Diploma is required; some college education is preferred but not mandatory.
Experience
Two to five years of relevant experience is preferred. Law enforcement experience is advantageous but not required.
