We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant to join our team at Hillsville Health & Rehab Center.

Job Summary

The primary purpose of this role is to assist patients in returning to optimal physical function, while also working collaboratively with the healthcare team to achieve patient goals. This position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist occupational therapists in providing high-quality patient care
  • Conduct evaluations and assessments of patients' physical and functional abilities
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address patients' needs
  • Provide education and training to patients and their families on how to perform daily activities safely and effectively
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of patient progress and treatment plans
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care

Requirements:

  • Associate's degree from an accredited college in occupational therapy assistant studies
  • Current and valid OTA license granted from the state of employment
  • Previous experience in long-term care or similar setting preferred
