Job Summary

WSU Tech is seeking a dedicated and experienced nursing faculty member to join our team. As a nursing faculty member, you will play a critical role in shaping the next generation of nursing professionals.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing education, with a Master's degree in Nursing preferred. A Bachelor's degree on an active plan of study or an ADN degree for PN Faculty will also be considered.

Responsibilities will include creating and uploading course syllabi, maintaining accurate student records, and developing curriculum changes to meet the objectives of the course/program. The successful candidate will also participate in program review, assessment data, and course/college evaluations.

Responsibilities
  • Creates and/or uploads an appropriate course syllabus for each course to the Learning Management System.
  • Keeps students informed and updated concerning course content, requirements, evaluation procedures, and attendance requirements.
  • Maintains accurate and complete scholastic records, including but not limited to course messaging in the LMS, grades, census rosters, and attendance records.
  • Maintains industry credentials as appropriate to the teaching area.
  • Develops, revises, and/or recommends curriculum changes which meet the objectives of the course/program and improve student learning.
  • Fully participates in, utilizes, and submits when due program review information, assessment data, and course/college evaluations.
Requirements
  • Master's Degree in Nursing, preferred.
  • Current, unrestricted Kansas RN license and maintains throughout employment.
  • Obtains at own expense yearly TB test and other immunizations or physical examinations as required by clinical sites.
  • CPR certification obtained prior to going to clinical sites.
  • Previous teaching or training experience in adult education preferred.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills – must be able to work with students, technical, and administrative personnel in a pleasant, professional, and efficient manner.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
  • Ability to use personal computer and software applications, strong Microsoft Office skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
