The Test and Training Enabling Architecture (TENA) initiative at Leidos is in search of a seasoned Lead Systems Engineer to assist our client in crafting solutions for the United States Department of Defense's testing and training sectors, aiming to accelerate the development process and deliver capabilities to the warfighter more swiftly.

The Lead Systems Engineer will collaborate with a team of 20 developers and fellow system engineers, enhancing our systems while ensuring the security and efficiency of our current infrastructure.

The ideal candidate must be eligible to secure a Secret level clearance to qualify for this role.


Key Responsibilities:
• Install, oversee, and manage Red Hat 9 servers.

• Provide technical guidance for transitioning on-premise infrastructure to a hybrid cloud environment.

• Offer support for troubleshooting issues ranging from operating system to application levels.

• Manage networking devices, including switches, routers, and firewalls.


• Oversee the configuration and upkeep of essential enclave infrastructure services such as DHCP, DNS, email, Apache Web Servers, Tomcat application servers, Atlassian applications, and PostgreSQL database servers.

• Configure and monitor security tools necessary for DoD networks.


• Engage in and contribute to design discussions aimed at enhancing the capabilities, performance, and security posture of both new and existing services.


Basic Qualifications:
• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in system administration on Red Hat 9 servers, networking devices, and security monitoring tools.

• At least five years of experience providing System Administration for DoD IT systems.

• Compliance with DoD 8570 IAT level I.

• Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Ten years of experience in providing System Administration for DoD IT systems.

• Compliance with DoD 8570 IAT level III.

• Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE).

• CompTIA Linux+ or Linux Professional Institute LPIC-1.

Compensation:
• The pay range for this position is between $108,000 and $196,225.00.


This range serves as a general guideline and does not guarantee compensation or salary.
