Job Title: Diesel Mechanic/Technician

Ryder is seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic/Technician to join our team in Dayton, OH. As a Diesel Mechanic/Technician, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles, including diesel engines, transmissions, and brakes.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical and electrical issues with diesel engines, transmissions, and brakes
  • Perform advanced repairs, including major engine repairs, diesel after-treatment, and automotive fuel injection repairs
  • Work with minimal supervision and take ownership of assigned tasks
  • Collaborate with other technicians and shop management to ensure efficient and effective repairs
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational or technical certification preferred
  • 4+ years of relevant work experience in diesel mechanics or a related field
  • Valid CDL Class A license preferred
  • ASE certification in PM, brakes, A/C, electrical, electronics, or ASE Master Mechanic
  • Basic computer skills and ability to operate shop computers and diagnostic test equipment
