Job Summary

Houston Methodist Clear Lake Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Quality and Medical Staff to lead our team in delivering exceptional patient care, education, and research. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and operations that advance the delivery of patient care, education, research, and professional practice.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to improve patient care, education, and research
  • Lead and manage a team of professionals to achieve departmental goals and objectives
  • Collaborate with department leaders and stakeholders to ensure alignment with hospital-wide initiatives
  • Develop and maintain policies, procedures, and standards to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Monitor and evaluate departmental performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes as needed
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff on quality improvement initiatives and patient safety
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and stakeholders to advance the hospital's mission and goals
Requirements
  • Bachelor's and Master's degree in Nursing or related field
  • Three years' leadership experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in education or quality improvement
  • Five years' experience in education or staff development
  • Current RN licensure and BLS certification
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with staff, patients, and external partners
