Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for a diverse patient population.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of nursing interventions, patient responses, and treatment protocols.
  • Collaborate with physicians during examinations and medical procedures.
  • Conduct various patient assessments and administer medications within the RN scope of practice.
  • Foster patient independence by setting care goals and educating patients and families on health management.

Position Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in the emergency department, responsible for delivering comprehensive nursing care to patients across all age groups. The RN is accountable for delegating tasks to other healthcare team members while ensuring optimal patient outcomes. This role requires thorough documentation of all nursing activities and adherence to established protocols.

The RN will demonstrate professionalism and reliability in providing care, considering the unique needs of each patient, including cultural and spiritual aspects. Additional responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.


Qualifications:
  • Current/Active Florida Registered Nurse License (RN) or approved multi-state license.
  • Completion of an accredited nursing program (Associate's Degree or higher).
  • Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is preferred.
