The Perioperative Registered Nurse First Assistant plays a crucial role in the surgical team, responsible for the comprehensive assessment, planning, execution, and evaluation of nursing care throughout the preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative phases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver exceptional nursing care while collaborating with the surgical team.
- Assume accountability for delegating patient care tasks to other healthcare professionals.
- Participate in on-call rotations as required.
Qualifications:
Licensure/Certification/Education (Mandatory):
- Certification in Operating Room Nursing (CNOR)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an accredited organization
- Active Registered Nurse License in Florida or an approved multi-state license
- Minimum educational requirement: Associate's Degree or equivalent from a technical school or college
Licensure/Certification/Education (Preferred):
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
Essential Skills (Required):
- Fundamental principles and practices of perioperative nursing
- Basic skills in Registered Nurse First Assisting
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in Radial Artery/Vein Harvesting
