We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Owner to join our R&D team at Antech Diagnostics. As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for managing and prioritizing the team's backlog, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving product development to meet business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Product Definition and Implementation
- Develop and refine product user stories and backlog items in alignment with company objectives.
- Analyze preferences and requests of end users and develop user stories and define acceptance criteria.
- Set sprint goals, follow the progress of work, and address identified issues during sprints.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including executive leadership, commercial, support teams, and software engineering, to shape product direction and ensure successful execution.
- Manage expectations and negotiate priorities with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure alignment with company objectives.
- Cross-Functional Team Collaboration
- Collaborate with prospective users and stakeholders to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements.
- Foster a collaborative environment that encourages open communication, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Participate in stand-ups, refinement sessions, and ensure that sprint deliverables are met with high quality.
- Organize and facilitate usability sessions, beta or other Voice of customer research, competitive analysis, and internal stakeholder feedback to identify opportunities for product innovation and improvements.
- Liaise with the product team and end-users to deliver updates.
- Technical Acumen
- Manage the product backlog and prioritize items based on changing requirements.
- Monitor and evaluate product progress at each stage of the process.
- Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in diagnostic software development.
- Understand Veterinary In-clinic analyzer workflows.
- Ensure that product development aligns with desired customer experience, architectural principles, scalability requirements, and security best practices.
- Stay informed of the latest developments in ML/AI and drive product roadmap to incorporate the latest ML/AI models & techniques in anticipation of widespread adoption.
- Use technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Use multiple internal (call metrics) and external sources (e.g. the voice of customers) to arrive at decisions.
- Performance Metrics and Continuous Improvement
- Monitor and evaluate product progress at each stage of the process.
- Help define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and team performance.
- Leverage data-driven insights to optimize product features, prioritize roadmap items, and inform decision-making.
- Continuously evaluate product performance, user feedback, and market trends to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
- Bachelor's Degree required or relevant experience.
- Veterinary clinical or diagnostics experience preferred, but not required.
- Product Owner or Business Analyst experience.
- 3-5 years of experience required.
- Competitive salary range: $97,020 - $120,000 annually.
