About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Product Owner to join our R&D team at Antech Diagnostics. As a Product Owner, you will be responsible for managing and prioritizing the team's backlog, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and driving product development to meet business objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Product Definition and Implementation
    • Develop and refine product user stories and backlog items in alignment with company objectives.
    • Analyze preferences and requests of end users and develop user stories and define acceptance criteria.
    • Set sprint goals, follow the progress of work, and address identified issues during sprints.
    • Collaborate with stakeholders, including executive leadership, commercial, support teams, and software engineering, to shape product direction and ensure successful execution.
    • Manage expectations and negotiate priorities with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure alignment with company objectives.
  • Cross-Functional Team Collaboration
    • Collaborate with prospective users and stakeholders to understand and anticipate their needs and translate them into product requirements.
    • Foster a collaborative environment that encourages open communication, innovation, and continuous improvement.
    • Participate in stand-ups, refinement sessions, and ensure that sprint deliverables are met with high quality.
    • Organize and facilitate usability sessions, beta or other Voice of customer research, competitive analysis, and internal stakeholder feedback to identify opportunities for product innovation and improvements.
    • Liaise with the product team and end-users to deliver updates.
  • Technical Acumen
    • Manage the product backlog and prioritize items based on changing requirements.
    • Monitor and evaluate product progress at each stage of the process.
    • Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in diagnostic software development.
    • Understand Veterinary In-clinic analyzer workflows.
    • Ensure that product development aligns with desired customer experience, architectural principles, scalability requirements, and security best practices.
    • Stay informed of the latest developments in ML/AI and drive product roadmap to incorporate the latest ML/AI models & techniques in anticipation of widespread adoption.
    • Use technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Use multiple internal (call metrics) and external sources (e.g. the voice of customers) to arrive at decisions.
  • Performance Metrics and Continuous Improvement
    • Monitor and evaluate product progress at each stage of the process.
    • Help define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and team performance.
    • Leverage data-driven insights to optimize product features, prioritize roadmap items, and inform decision-making.
    • Continuously evaluate product performance, user feedback, and market trends to identify opportunities for improvement and innovation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree required or relevant experience.
  • Veterinary clinical or diagnostics experience preferred, but not required.
  • Product Owner or Business Analyst experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience required.
