Job Summary

The Cycle Counter Clerk is a key member of our inventory management team, responsible for tracking and maintaining accurate records of inventory levels. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and effective communication with management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Inventory Tracking: Count and track physical inventory levels, identifying any discrepancies or variances.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inventory counts, including frequency of counts and any corrections made.
  • Communication: Communicate any inventory discrepancies or variances to management, ensuring prompt resolution.
  • Reporting: Prepare and submit reports on inventory levels, including any issues or concerns.
  • Investigation: Investigate any inventory discrepancies, documenting any corrections made and ensuring accuracy of information in the system.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with internal controls and company procedures, maintaining the integrity of our inventory management system.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Minimum one year of experience in inventory control or a related field.
  • Skills: Working knowledge of inventory internal controls, company procedures, and Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Knowledge: Basic knowledge of lumber math, lumber grades, and species.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Preferred understanding of company policies, practices, and procedures.
