We are looking for Material Handling Specialists for 1st and 2nd shifts to become part of our expanding team in the organic lawn care product manufacturing sector.

Compensation and Schedule

  • 1st Shift: 6am-4:30pm
  • 2nd Shift: 3pm-1am
  • Position may require up to 20 hours of overtime weekly
  • Hourly Rate: $18.00 with weekly pay and potential for higher rates upon permanent hire

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a forklift or similar heavy machinery to transport, organize, and inventory products within the facility.
  • Essential Skills and Qualifications:
    • Proficient in forklift operation
    • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
    • Capability to climb on and off equipment
    • Comfortable sitting for extended periods
    • Effective communication skills
    • Basic arithmetic skills
    • Ability to read and write in English and follow instructions
    • Willingness to work in various environmental conditions
  • Commitment to working mandatory overtime, including weekends and holidays.
  • Conduct safety inspections of the forklift to ensure operational safety.
  • Monitor fluid levels for oil, water, and fuel prior to equipment use.
  • Ensure availability of empty pallets for packaging lines and communicate inventory status to supervisors.
  • Remove packaged products from production lines and prepare them for shipping.
  • Operate stretch-wrapping equipment and replace stretch film as necessary.
  • Organize and store palletized products in designated inventory locations without causing damage.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean work environment by restacking, picking up debris, and cleaning equipment.
  • Accurately read Bills of Lading (BOLs) and ensure correct quantities and SKUs are loaded onto transport vehicles.
  • Communicate any discrepancies in BOLs to the Dispatcher or office staff.
  • Perform physical inventory counts of finished goods as required.
  • Meet established quality and quantity standards.
  • Ensure safe operation of the forklift and maintain fluid levels.
