Job Summary:

As a seasoned Construction Project Manager specializing in K-12 ground-up projects, you will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of school construction from inception to completion. You will be the key point of contact for all project stakeholders, ensuring that project goals, timelines, and budgets are met while fostering a safe and productive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of K-12 ground-up construction projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.
  • Lead project teams, including subcontractors, suppliers, and on-site staff, to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, engineers, and other key stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, track milestones, and ensure adherence to project timelines and budget constraints.
  • Oversee contract administration, change orders, RFI (Request for Information) processes, and project documentation.
  • Monitor job site safety and compliance with all relevant safety standards and regulations.
  • Coordinate with local authorities and ensure that all permits, inspections, and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies to address challenges proactively.
  • Provide regular project updates and reports to senior management and clients.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in construction project management, specifically with ground-up K-12 projects.
  • Proven experience leading projects from groundbreaking to completion, with a focus on public school construction.
  • Strong understanding of project management software and tools (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of local and state building codes and regulations related to educational facilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle unforeseen challenges effectively.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as required.
