Responsibilities of an Assistant Teacher

As an Assistant Teacher, you'll play a vital role in creating a nurturing environment where children can thrive. Your primary focus will be assisting in guiding young learners while prioritizing their safety and well-being. You'll collaborate with the lead teacher to plan engaging activities that promote growth across various areas of development and cultivate strong partnerships with parents through open communication.

Requirements
  • Hold a High School Diploma or its equivalent
  • Pass a background check
  • Possess the Commonwealth Childcare Credential
  • Education in Early Childhood Education and experience within a licensed center is a plus
  • Have genuine empathy and understanding of children's needs and development
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Exhibit flexibility and adaptability to meet community needs and respond to changing circumstances
  • Capable of meeting the physical demands of working with children
