Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as an Early Childhood Education Assistant at The Salvation Army Eastern Territory. This role will provide support to our teachers in an education setting, assisting with the delivery of high-quality early childhood education programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist teachers in providing a safe and engaging learning environment for young children.
  • Support the planning and preparation of educational materials and activities.
  • Assist with the implementation of individualized learning plans for children with special needs.
  • Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to ensure a cohesive and effective educational program.
  • Provide administrative support as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred.
  • 18 years or older.
  • Must meet requirements of city and state licensing agencies (background checks, CPR, First Aid, & TB Skin test).
  • Previous experience working with children.
  • Creative, enthusiastic, highly organized, flexible, and good communication skills.
  • Clean and neat appearance.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 2 years of experience in childcare.
