Job Title: Quality Assurance Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Manager to join our team at Shearer's Foods. As a Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for leading and implementing quality assurance, food safety, and sanitation programs at our manufacturing facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and implement quality assurance, food safety, and sanitation programs
  • Work with customers, suppliers, corporate personnel, and manufacturing staff
  • Audit quality and food safety systems, including SQF, Food Safety Plan, GMP, and SOPs
  • Communicate food quality standards to plant personnel through training, corrective actions, quality audits, production, and facility monitoring
  • Manage the quality and food safety function at the facility
  • Serve as SQF Practitioner and site Preventive Controls Qualified Individual
  • Manage programs to verify and validate food safety prerequisite programs
  • Monitor, support, and enforce all food safety processes and procedures
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Animal Science, Microbiology, Biology, or other science-related degree
  • Minimum 5 years of overall professional experience in Quality Assurance, Food Safety, and Sanitation
  • Minimum 5 years in a supervisory or management position in a plant of similar complexity and size
  • Leader of Change and Strategic Thinking
  • Certifications required include Preventive Controls Qualified Individual (PCQI), SQF Practitioner, or other GFSI standard, and HACCP
  • Knowledge of FDA standards and FSMA Regulations
