Job Overview
We are seeking a highly qualified individual for the position of Postdoctoral Associate. This role is integral to advancing research in the field of Industrial and Systems Engineering, with a focus on socio-technical systems.
Essential Qualifications
- A PhD in Industrial and Systems Engineering, Operations Research, or a closely related discipline is required. The PhD must have been awarded within the last four years, with at least one year of eligibility remaining.
- A solid foundation in interdisciplinary modeling of socio-technical systems is essential.
- Research experience should include applications related to automation, decision-making theories, organizational dynamics, and workforce social issues.
- Proficiency in data science and experience handling large datasets is necessary.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse team across various disciplines, including systems engineering, decision theory, and human factors engineering.
- Experience in mentoring and guiding graduate student research is expected.
- A history of publishing in reputable peer-reviewed journals or conferences is preferred.
- Strong communication skills are a must.
Desirable Qualifications
- Familiarity with economic production theory, particularly Data Envelopment Analysis, and experience with system dynamics modeling or agent-based modeling.
- Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning frameworks is advantageous.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as R and Python, as well as tools like Netlogo or VENSIM, is preferred.
- A track record of contributing to or securing competitive federal grant proposals is a plus.

Salary will be commensurate with experience.
