Computer Engineering Researcher
Location:Seven Corners, VA (Hybrid: Tuesday - Thursday on-site)
Overview:LABINE AND ASSOCIATES, INC. is seeking a highly skilled Computer Engineering Researcher to join our innovative team. As a key member of our research group, you will drive the development of cutting-edge hardware solutions for national importance. Your expertise in computer architecture, chip design, and prototyping will be instrumental in advancing our research and development efforts.
Key Responsibilities:- Research and develop innovative hardware solutions to address complex problems in computer engineering.
- Propose and prototype major advancements in computer architecture, leveraging your expertise in Verilog, System Verilog, and VHDL.
- Lead laboratory demonstrations and publish results in top-tier conferences, showcasing your work to the academic and industry communities.
- Develop designs for applied research programs supported by major sponsors, utilizing your knowledge of system modeling with Python, C++, or similar languages.
- Collaborate with research labs on advanced computing systems, utilizing MOSIS 2.0 and other cutting-edge tools.
- Strong track record of publications in computer architecture, chip design, or prototyping.
- Proficient in computer hardware design, with expertise in Verilog, System Verilog, and VHDL.
- Experience in system modeling with Python, C++, or similar languages.
- Ability to work hybrid in our Seven Corners, VA office.
- U.S. citizenship required; eligibility to apply for a Top Secret clearance (current SECRET clearance is a plus).
- Experience in proposal development.
- FPGA-based development or application mapping expertise.
- Familiarity with EDA tools and scripting.
- Knowledge of graph-based algorithms or EDA algorithms.
- Experience with neuromorphic or non-von Neumann computing approaches.
Work on leading-edge, government-funded research with strong academic ties. Enjoy a hybrid work schedule with opportunities to develop design tools for advanced FPGA and ASIC applications.
