Job Summary

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for conceptualizing initial design, providing guidance to a team of engineers and designers, and performing various design calculations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Conceptualize initial design and provide guidance to a team of engineers and designers during preliminary design.
  • Estimation and Planning: Provide estimates of engineering manpower effort required for jobs led and provide accurate manpower planning and tracking data during the duration of the project.
  • Design Calculations: Perform various design calculations, including hydraulic calculations, stress analysis, wall thickness calculations, and piping specifications.
  • Equipment Specifications: Generate equipment specifications and data sheets, prepare inquiry packages, complete technical/commercial bid evaluations, generate purchase requisitions, and review vendor drawings.
Requirements
  • Education: B.S. in Mechanical Engineering
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in fields strongly related to design engineering and equipment specifications
  • Skills: Knowledge of engineering practices, design details, international codes and standards, procedures, and specifications
  • Industry Experience: Experience in the Oil and Gas, Refinery, or Chemical Industry field is required
  • Professional Registration: Professional Engineering registration by examination is preferred; ability and willingness to pursue licensure is required
