Job Title: Senior Overhead Transmission Engineer

Job Summary:

Kiewit Power Engineers is seeking a highly motivated Senior Overhead Transmission Engineer to join our Power Delivery team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and engineering transmission lines between 69kV and 500kV. You will work closely with our clients to understand their needs and develop innovative solutions to meet their requirements.

Responsibilities:

* Lead a collaborative team to understand client needs and prepare deliverables
* Establish design criteria based on industry, company, and/or client standards
* Create and review computer models of overhead electric transmission lines and structures in PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and PLS TOWER
* Assemble and review drawings, specifications, and design criteria for the procurement of tubular steel structures, lattice towers, and transmission line hardware
* Develop and review comprehensive construction packages for internal construction crews and client contractors
* Provide design oversight and quality reviews for complex drawing packages
* Drive a culture of design excellence and continuous improvement

Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
* At least 10 years' experience designing and engineering transmission lines between 69kV and 500kV
* Professional Engineering (PE) License strongly preferred
* Proficient in PLS-CADD, PLS-Pole, and PLS TOWER
* Knowledge of MFAD, LPILE, and geotechnical recommendation application for foundation design preferred
* Knowledge of client and industry standards including NESC, ASCE, IEEE, and RUS
* Experience leading teams and projects
* Experience managing direct reports including approving timesheets, performance appraisals, and resource planning preferred

Working Conditions:

* Fast-paced office environment
* Must be able to interact professionally with all levels of management while simultaneously manage a diversified workload and challenging situations efficiently and effectively
* Regularly sit, stand, walk, and talk and listen
* Occasionally lift and move objects up to 30 pounds

Travel:

* Travel in the U.S. and internationally (5-15%)
