Job Title: Program Specialist/Aid Subs at Boys & Girls Club Crescent Region
General Function:
- Design, execute, and oversee various activities and programs for youth.
- Ensure the safety of participants, maintain high-quality programming, and uphold the Club's standards at all times.
- Program Specialist/Aid Subs will be available to work as required in designated areas.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively engage with staff, youth, parents, community leaders, educational institutions, and religious organizations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Understanding of youth development principles.
- Familiarity with the Club's mission, vision, and objectives.
- Ability to build positive connections with young individuals.
Minimum Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma/GED or higher education qualification.
- Experience in program delivery ranging from 6 months to 2 years.
- (Compensation varies based on educational background and experience).
Job Responsibilities:
- Exemplify and advocate for Core Values.
- Implement educational curriculum.
- Plan, execute, and oversee programs and activities.
- Provide mentorship and role modeling for participants.
- Create engaging and informative displays and bulletin boards to highlight program areas.
- Assist in the execution of national projects and exhibitions.
- Inspire and mentor youth, adults, and volunteers in creative endeavors.
- Maintain accurate records of participants, schedules, attendance, and program outcomes.
- Certification in First Aid/CPR is required.
- Perform additional assigned tasks as needed.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Ability to manage multiple projects while handling daily responsibilities.
- Collaborate effectively with diverse personalities, demonstrating tact, maturity, and adaptability.
- Physical demands include visual and auditory capabilities, as well as the ability to stand for extended periods.
- Essential skills include effective speaking, writing, and computer proficiency.
Environment & Working Conditions:
- Work in both indoor and outdoor recreational settings during after-school hours.
- Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required to support fundraising initiatives.
