Main Purpose of Job


The role involves delivering comprehensive nursing care to adolescents facing significant emotional challenges within a supportive residential treatment environment that prioritizes family involvement and youth engagement.

Additionally, this position includes providing both clinical and administrative oversight to Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and support staff.

In accordance with federal regulations, all personnel in Maryland Department of Health facilities must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or have an approved exemption prior to employment.

POSITION DUTIES


The primary responsibilities include delivering direct nursing care to adolescents with severe emotional disabilities in a family-centered and youth-focused residential setting.

The role also encompasses supervising RNs, LPNs, and non-licensed personnel.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:
As specified by the Maryland State Board of Nursing licensing requirements for Registered Nurses.

Experience:
No prior experience is required.

LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Applicants must hold a valid Registered Nurse license from the Maryland State Board of Nursing or a current multi-state license from designated states.
  • Employees may be required to operate a vehicle and must possess a valid motor vehicle operator's license in Maryland.
  • Completion of cardiopulmonary resuscitation training and maintenance of current certification may be necessary.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Employees must be available for call-in duties and provide a reachable phone number.
  • Substance abuse testing may be required in accordance with Maryland regulations.
