The role involves delivering comprehensive nursing care to adolescents facing significant emotional challenges within a supportive residential treatment environment that prioritizes family involvement and youth engagement.

In accordance with federal regulations, all personnel in Maryland Department of Health facilities must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or have an approved exemption prior to employment.
POSITION DUTIES
The primary responsibilities include delivering direct nursing care to adolescents with severe emotional disabilities in a family-centered and youth-focused residential setting.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
As specified by the Maryland State Board of Nursing licensing requirements for Registered Nurses.
Experience:
No prior experience is required.
LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Applicants must hold a valid Registered Nurse license from the Maryland State Board of Nursing or a current multi-state license from designated states.
- Employees may be required to operate a vehicle and must possess a valid motor vehicle operator's license in Maryland.
- Completion of cardiopulmonary resuscitation training and maintenance of current certification may be necessary.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
- Employees must be available for call-in duties and provide a reachable phone number.
- Substance abuse testing may be required in accordance with Maryland regulations.
