Job Summary

Kensington Senior Living, LLC is seeking a skilled Memory Care Activities Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our Memory Care department, you will be responsible for developing and implementing engaging activities that promote the physical, mental, and psychosocial well-being of our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, and implement activities that cater to the interests and needs of our Memory Care residents.
  • Collaborate with the Activities Coordinator to create a monthly calendar of events.
  • Lead one-on-one and group activities, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.
  • Document attendance records, maintain activity calendars, and track resident participation.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and other departments.
  • Assist with media correspondence, mailings, and bulletin boards.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of activities programs and provide feedback to the Activities Coordinator and Memory Care Manager.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-based environment.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Property Management System.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret human service periodicals and technical procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with ageing populations and dementia care.
  • High school diploma required; college education preferred.
  • Certification as a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist or Activities Professional preferred.

Mental and Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Requires sitting, use of hands, and reaching above shoulder length.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and push 200 pounds over 200 feet.
