About This Role

The Veterinary Health Center at Kansas State University is seeking a skilled Veterinary Nurse II to join our Anesthesia team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and quality customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide veterinary support in the care of patients through independently performing technical procedures and administering treatments.
  • Instruct, train, and supervise students and employees in approved treatment techniques.
  • Work collaboratively with the Anesthesia team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Completion of a two-year college program in veterinary or animal technology accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA).
  • 2 years of relevant experience in veterinary nursing or a related field.
  • Knowledge of basic veterinary medical concepts, animal behavior, and animal husbandry.
  • Ability to handle, restrain, and provide medical treatments to domestic animals.
  • Ability to work in a high-intensity environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
