Responsibilities
  • Assist with month-end financial reporting and analysis
  • Post journal entries and reconcile accounts
  • Help with accounts receivable and accounts payable management
  • Assist with bank statement reconciliation and audit preparation
  • Balance sheet reconciliation and analysis
  • Collaborate on yearly forecasting efforts and budgeting
  • Manage the monthly tracking of physical inventory and perform data entry tasks
  • Prepare tax forms and support the payment processing team
  • Assist with the preparation of ad hoc and other internal reports
  • Ensure the completion of assigned tasks in line with established deadlines
  • Work under the supervision of experienced accountants and study the accounting policies and processes of Councilor, Buchanan & Mitchell, P.C.
Requirements
  • Senior-level student studying Accounting or recent graduate
  • Ability to meet the responsibilities associated with this position
  • Dedication to a career in accounting and commitment to high-quality work
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel
