Job Summary

This intermediate role provides administrative, clerical, and technical support to the HR Support function at Cascade General. The successful candidate will partner with Operations, Human Resources, and Payroll to ensure timely coordination of projects and activities. Key responsibilities include coordinating staff coverage, staff function alignment, completing projects, monitoring metrics, and supporting department goals.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Staffing and Scheduling: Maintain the Kronos Human Resources/Payroll system to document employee status and work assignments. Compile and format data from Kronos and various data sources, and prepare reports. Prepare staffing reports for posting and distribution to supervisors, managers, and others.
  2. HR Support and Guidance: Gain and apply a thorough understanding of all collective bargaining agreements and company policies to respond to employee questions and ensure application of provisions and benefits to employees.
  3. Training and Development: Train, mentor, and assist in providing direction to HR Support staff. Monitor metrics, provide coaching, and generate multi-location collaboration.
  4. Special Projects: Perform special projects, often urgent in nature, including analyzing data, audits, reports, and testing. Ability to further troubleshoot and identify oddities requiring additional review and research.
  5. Work Instructions: Ensure work instructions are up-to-date for HR Support functions.
  6. Staffing Requests: Process staffing requests, including preparing paperwork and dispatch requests to appropriate unions, initiating phone calls to unions and recalled employees, and documenting through a spreadsheet or other documentation efforts to secure staffing.
  7. Selection Processes: Interact with Human Resources to arrange various selection processes, such as scheduling interviews, contacting applicants, and tracking results.
  8. Timekeeping and Administration: Assist employees with timecard and timekeeping instructions; weekly time entry processing; answer questions about job assignment locations. Perform related administrative functions, such as answering telephones, emails, processing unemployment claims, filing, copying, and delivering documents.
  9. Confidentiality: Maintain a strict level of confidentiality for all employee information.
Job Requirements

This role requires a high school diploma or GED certificate and a minimum of three years of experience in a Customer Service or Human Resources role with demonstrated knowledge of office procedures and practices. Knowledge of Kronos Workforce Timekeeper, Human Resource, and Payroll modules is preferred. Past lead experience is also preferred.

The ideal candidate will possess strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment. They will also have the ability to analyze and interpret data, formulate and implement solutions, and provide strong customer service to others encountered in the course of work.
