Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Water Restoration Technician to join our team at ServiceMaster Restore. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and completing tasks for water restoration jobs to ensure the successful completion of drying, demolition, and various restoration activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Retrieve work orders, check routes for travel, and ensure the appropriate equipment and supplies are loaded on the truck needed for the job.
  • Explain processes used to complete active jobs and next steps to resolution in person to customers.
  • Complete assigned jobs according to company processes while maintaining quality control on each job.
  • Perform water damage repair, including water extraction, pack-out of contents, removing/disposing of non-salvageable materials, light construction, and demolition as directed by the supervisor.
  • Ensure equipment, supplies, vehicles, and products are properly handled and report any equipment malfunction or damage to the supervisor.
  • Inspect jobs after completion and obtain customer signatures for approval purposes and request payments when necessary.
  • Perform daily monitoring and tasks on assigned water jobs to residential and/or commercial customers with urgency.
  • Responsible for making daily adjustments to the drying plan based on meter readings.
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Experience in the restoration or construction industry is not required but preferred.
  • Valid Driver's License and satisfactory driving record.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Experience with using mobile software to enter data.
  • Ability to read and follow product label usage instructions.
  • Reports to work on time in a clean, complete uniform.
  • Must be able to prioritize activities and meet deadlines.

Incumbent must be prepared to move up to 70 pounds often, stand and walk for extended periods, and use visual acuity to perform detail-oriented activities. Exposure to various inside and outside working conditions, including changes in environment with or without air conditioning and heating, is also required.
