About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Junior Loan Processor to join our team at Summit Lending. As a key member of our mortgage processing team, you will be responsible for overseeing the loan process from origination to close.

Key Responsibilities

  • Acquire and review loan documentation, including verification of employment, insurance, payoffs, tax transcripts, credit supplements, condo questionnaires, subordination requests, and title work to ensure a smooth loan process.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of the loan process in our system, from origination to close.
  • Ensure timely completion of loan documentation and adherence to company deadlines.
  • Prepare comprehensive loan packages for mortgage underwriters, resolving any outstanding issues that may arise.
  • Communicate effectively with borrowers and underwriters to ensure a seamless loan experience.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a broker's environment and proficiency in Calyx Point software.
  • Previous experience as a Loan Partner, Loan Officer, Processor, LOA, and/or Underwriter.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.
  • At least 2 years of mortgage processing experience, preferably 5+ years.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
