Key Responsibilities
  • Department Leadership: Provide daily supervision and direction to the associates in the Boat Service department, ensuring a safe and productive work environment.
  • Service Operations: Schedule and assign all service, rigging, and warranty work orders, ensuring timely completion and customer satisfaction.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain and manage unit and parts inventories, ensuring accuracy and minimizing shrinkage.
  • Customer Service: Support a strong commitment to world-class customer service, ensuring a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers.
  • Team Development: Assist the Boat Manager in staffing the Service area with customer-oriented associates, participating in interviewing, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Special Events: Assist the Boat Manager in coordinating all special events, including Boat Shows, Classic events, and other on-site promotional activities.
  • Warranty and Claims: Ensure warranty claims are created, submitted, and warranty payments received on a timely basis.
  • Product Detailing: Ensure products are properly detailed and unit deliveries are conducted in a friendly and professional manner as scheduled.
Requirements
  • Experience: 2-4 years in Retail Boating or similar industry; Supervisory experience is a plus.
  • Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to calculate figures and amounts, read and analyze reports, present information effectively, and conduct meetings and presentations to groups.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with PC-based word processing, spreadsheets, data-based management, and electronic point-of-sale and inventory management systems.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills, ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, associates, customers, and Corporate Staff.
