Job Title: Nurse Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Nurse Assistant to join our team at Trinity Health. As a Nurse Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Job Summary:

The Nurse Assistant will assist patients with activities of daily living, provide physical, emotional, and spiritual care, and maintain a safe and secure environment. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients with bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide physical, emotional, and spiritual care to patients
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for patients
  • Record and report patient information to healthcare team
  • Assist with mealtime activities and feeding patients
  • Perform additional duties as requested by healthcare team
Requirements:
  • Certification in a 75-hour CNA certification program
  • Active on the Iowa registry (required for long-term care nurse assistant in Iowa)
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) required within 30 days of hire and every 2 years thereafter
Working Conditions:

The Nurse Assistant will work in a variable and unpredictable environment, with frequent squatting, crawling, crouching, kneeling, and balancing. The role requires the use of hands for simple and firm grasping and fine manipulating, as well as lifting and carrying up to 35 pounds without assistance.
