Job Title: Certified Nurse Assistant

We are seeking a skilled Certified Nurse Assistant to join our team at Trinity Health Corporation. As a Certified Nurse Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Job Summary:

The Certified Nurse Assistant will assist patients with activities of daily living, provide physical, emotional, and spiritual care, and maintain a safe and secure environment. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide physical, emotional, and spiritual care to patients, including vital sign monitoring and documentation
  • Maintain a safe and secure environment, including cleaning and organizing equipment and supplies
  • Assist with mealtime activities, including delivering and removing patient trays and feeding patients
  • Perform additional duties as requested, such as transporting patients and obtaining medications and supplies
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 16 years of age (child labor laws apply)
  • Must meet one of the following requirements: be active on the Iowa registry, show proof of completion of a 75-hour CNA course, show proof of EMT certification, or show proof of formally holding a medical occupation specialty from the military
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training required within 6 months of hire and every 3 years thereafter
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) required within 30 days of hire and every 2 years thereafter
Working Conditions:

The Certified Nurse Assistant will work in a fast-paced healthcare environment, with frequent squatting, crawling, crouching, kneeling, and balancing. The job requires the use of hands for simple and firm grasping and fine manipulating, as well as lifting and carrying up to 35 pounds without assistance. The employee may be exposed to marked changes in temperature and humidity, infectious diseases, hazardous waste, and chemicals.
