Job Title: Certified Nurse Assistant

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Certified Nurse Assistant to join our team at Trinity Health. As a Certified Nurse Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare team.

Job Summary:

The Certified Nurse Assistant will assist patients with activities of daily living, provide emotional and spiritual support, and maintain a safe and clean environment. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about delivering exceptional patient care and working in a dynamic healthcare environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist patients with bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Provide emotional and spiritual support to patients and their families
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment, including restocking supplies and equipment
  • Assist with mealtime activities, including delivering and removing patient trays
  • Perform additional duties as requested, such as transporting patients and obtaining medications and supplies
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 16 years of age (child labor laws apply)
  • Must meet at least one of the following requirements: be active on the Iowa registry, show proof of completion of a 75-hour CNA course, show proof of EMT certification, or show proof of formally holding a medical occupation specialty from the military
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Mandatory Reporter Training required within 6 months of hire and every 3 years thereafter
  • Basic Life Support Certification (BLS) required within 30 days of hire and every 2 years thereafter
Working Conditions:

The Certified Nurse Assistant will work in a fast-paced healthcare environment, with frequent bending, stooping, and lifting. The employee must be able to see, speak, and hear, and must adhere to applicable organizational requirements on an annual basis for Employee Health Directives.
