Hilton Sandestin Beach is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to lead our culinary team. As a key member of our management team, the Executive Chef will be responsible for overseeing all food preparation, production, and control for our hotel's food outlets and banquet facilities.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation and Production: Develop and implement menus, recipes, and food preparation procedures to ensure high-quality food products and exceptional customer service.
- Team Management: Hire, train, supervise, and schedule chefs, cooks, and other culinary staff to meet productivity standards, cost controls, and forecast needs.
- Customer Service: Interact with customers to promote food products, resolve complaints, and provide exceptional service.
- Menu Development: Create and implement new menus and individual menu items based on current food trends, regional tastes, and client budgetary considerations.
- Food Safety and Quality: Maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment, enforce health code requirements, and ensure Ecolab inspections meet standards.
- Education: Formal Culinary Arts Degree required.
- Experience: Prior experience as an Executive Chef with knowledge of international and domestic dishes.
- Licenses and Certificates: Ability to obtain government required licenses or certificates, such as a Florida State Health Certificate.
- Skills and Abilities: Strong leadership and communication skills, ability to analyze data, make decisions, and supervise large staff.
