Position Overview:
The role entails providing essential administrative support to the Rehabilitation departments, focusing on pediatric therapy. Responsibilities include managing clerical functions such as responding to phone inquiries, organizing schedules, processing insurance authorizations for outpatient services, entering patient data, delivering exceptional customer service, reconciling charges, and undertaking additional tasks to enhance the efficiency of Rehabilitation Services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently handle phone communications and patient scheduling.
- Process insurance authorizations and ensure accurate patient data entry.
- Deliver high-quality customer service to patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Assist therapists with the care of patients utilizing whirlpool therapy.
- Maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information responsibly.
- Support various departments including Physical Medicine, Unit 42, Rehab Therapy, and Speech Pathology.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Proven experience in medical coding, billing, and insurance verification.
- Proficient in computer usage and familiar with general office equipment.
- Strong organizational abilities and excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions.
- A minimum of one year of experience in an office or clerical setting.
Work Schedule:
This position is part-time.
