Pharmacy Technician II Job Description

At Johns Hopkins HealthCare, we are committed to providing the highest quality care for our patients and communities. As a Pharmacy Technician II, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacy team in preparing and packaging medications, distributing and delivering medications, maintaining inventory levels, and keeping accurate records and documentation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation and packaging of medications
  • Distribute and deliver medications to patients
  • Maintain accurate inventory levels and records
  • Support the pharmacy team in maintaining a safe and efficient work environment
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous hospital experience preferred
  • Completion of a pharmacy technician training program preferred
  • Knowledge of pharmacy work routines, procedures, materials, terminology, and medication names
  • Current registration with the Maryland State Board of Pharmacy as a Pharmacy Technician
  • Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certified
