Job Title: Retail Sales Associate

At Floor & Decor, we're committed to providing our customers with an exceptional shopping experience. As a Retail Sales Associate, you'll play a key role in delivering this experience by providing friendly, accurate service and support to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Connect with customers, ask about their projects, and recommend our products to help them find the perfect solution.
  • Provide above-and-beyond customer service, exceeding customer expectations when assisting them.
  • Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring they're clean, shoppable, and safe.
  • Work collaboratively with management and team members to achieve sales goals.
  • Process customers at checkout using our point-of-sale system.
  • Process customer refunds and exchanges according to established guidelines.
  • Follow established cash, check, and credit card acceptance procedures.
  • Create price tags and merchandise signs, stock, tag, and display merchandise.
  • Act and work in a manner consistent with our company's core values.
  • Demonstrate and understand compliance with our safety processes.
  • Answer telephone calls according to our company guidelines.
  • Be available to assist in other areas of the store as needed.
Requirements:
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Knowledge of basic math skills.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and work well under pressure.
  • Some positions may require completion of forklift certifications through F&D.
  • Where permissible by state law, certification to use heavy equipment requires successful passing of a drug test.
Working Conditions:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles. The noise level in the work environment is typically quiet to moderate.

Physical/Sensory Requirements:

The employee is often required to use their hands and fingers to handle or feel. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with arms and hands, climb or balance, and to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
