Role Summary:

We are seeking a knowledgeable and skilled Chemical Process Specialist to join our team at DBSI Services. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in process engineering within various industrial sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop processes for chemical manufacturing, including creating Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
  • Contribute to the engineering of chemical plants, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Utilize expertise in mass and energy balance calculations, as well as hydraulic calculations.
  • Apply fundamental chemical engineering principles such as heat transfer, fluid dynamics, and mass transfer in practical applications.
  • Specify and select appropriate process equipment based on project specifications, including pumps, heat exchangers, and tanks.
  • Experience in powder handling equipment design and sizing is a valuable asset.
  • Participate in the selection of safety devices and engage in process safety management initiatives.
  • Prior experience with sanitary piping and process systems is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and familiarity with AutoCAD is preferred.
  • Knowledge of hydraulic calculation software such as AFT Fathom and AFT Arrow is a plus.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemical Engineering (BE/B.Tech/BS/MS).
