Job Title: Radiologic Technologist Student - PRN

Location: Grapevine, Texas

Hourly Pay Rate: $33/hour

Shift: Variable Shift, 8, 10, or 12 hours per day

Scheduled Hours: 50 hours per week, 5 shifts per week

Job Overview:

The Radiologic Technologist Student works under the general supervision of a certified Radiology Technologist, assisting with patient care and performing radiology exams. This role supports technologists and nurses during imaging procedures and medical exams, ensuring quality care and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepares patients for imaging exams, easing anxieties by explaining the procedures and answering any questions.
  • Assists technologists, nurses, and physicians with procedures and maintains patient and staff confidentiality.
  • Operates and maintains imaging equipment safely, following established policies and procedures.
  • Ensures a clean and organized work environment to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Monitors patient conditions during procedures and seeks appropriate assistance when needed.
  • Verifies requisitions, patient charts, and orders, ensuring correct documentation and labeling.
  • Assists with maintaining an adequate inventory of equipment and supplies, placing orders as needed.
  • Ensures individuals are safe to enter the department by following screening policies.

  • Ability to perform tasks independently while maintaining a calm and helpful attitude under stress.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve issues efficiently.
  • Ability to ensure customer satisfaction by minimizing wait times and maintaining professionalism.
  • Proficiency in administering first aid and using emergency carts when necessary.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continued education and staying current on best practices for patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
  • Experience: Less than 1 year of related experience.
  • Certifications/License:
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire or transfer.
