We are seeking a Radiologic Technologist Student to join our team at Next Move Healthcare.
This role supports certified Radiology Technologists and nurses during imaging procedures and medical exams, ensuring quality care and maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to explain procedures and provide comfort to patients during imaging processes, as well as perform tasks independently while maintaining a calm and helpful attitude under stress.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare patients for imaging exams, easing anxieties by explaining the procedures and answering any questions.
- Assist technologists, nurses, and physicians with procedures and maintain patient and staff confidentiality.
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment safely, following established policies and procedures.
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment to enhance patient care and safety.
- Monitor patient conditions during procedures and seek appropriate assistance when needed.
- Verify requisitions, patient charts, and orders, ensuring correct documentation and labeling.
- Assist with maintaining an adequate inventory of equipment and supplies, placing orders as needed.
- Ensure individuals are safe to enter the department by following screening policies.
Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
- Experience: Less than 1 year of related experience.
- Certifications/License:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire or transfer.
