Omaha Oral Surgery seeks an experienced Instrument Preparation Specialist to join our team.

About the Role

This is a vital position in ensuring the highest level of sterilization and quality control for all instruments used in our surgical procedures. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sterilization techniques, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Instrument Preparation: Collect, clean, and sterilize all instruments and equipment according to established protocols.
  • Sterilization Equipment Maintenance: Regularly inspect, test, and maintain sterilization equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain accurate records of instrument inventory, supplies, and equipment.
  • Cleaning and Decontamination: Manually clean and decontaminate equipment and supplies as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required.
  • Relevant Experience: One year of experience in a similar role preferred.
  • Certification: Certification in Sterile Processing and Distribution preferred.
